This work began with research on the tag “women” on YouTube, where I found stereotypical women's images with titles like “Most Beautiful, Famous or Sexy.” By re-editing the found footage and adding sound from reports on women in war and violence against women, the subversion of women's media images and the woman as a commoditized object becomes obvious.
