Over the years, the WideOpen: Excellence in Photography has presented remarkable pieces from established, emerging, and amateur photographers. For the upcoming 2024 biennale, a distinguished jury will meticulously choose photographs across various genres, to create an exhibition that epitomizes contemporary excellence in the field of photography.
WideOpen: Excellence in Photography, held biennially, is organized by The Dairy Barn Arts Center in collaboration with the Ohio University School of Visual Communication.

A non-refundable entry fee of $50.00 (fifty US dollars) will accompany the entry of one to five submissions. Each entrant may pay the entry fee only once to submit up to five photographs, maximum. All proceeds of WideOpen 2024 will go to The Dairy Barn Arts Center, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

Open to all genres of photography, including, but not limited to: fine art, commercial, conceptual,
and photojournalism.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
WideOpen Excellence in Photography prohibits the submission of AI-generated images for the 2024 call for entry. While we recognize AI as a valuable tool, any artwork solely created using AI will be disqualified.
