Juror's Statement
I am excited to serve as a juror for the TPS' New Visions exhibition. I have been an educator and artist in photography for almost 40 years. Nonetheless, everyone who enters this exhibition will be bringing me something new to reflect on.

The things that I will look for in choosing work for the show would be:

Images that are fresh, original and reflect a personal vision

Images that are intended to be understood as art

Images that use photography to visualize concepts or ideas

Images that use processes to successfully bring forward ideas

Images that show mastery of technique; imperfections can be useful if they are deliberate
