This auction/exhibition will feature a vibrant array of donated works created by artists reaching from Florida to Vancouver, B.C. In the spirit of TRANSFIXED | TRANSMEDIA, the work featured will explore, embrace, and question the ever-expanding definitions of photography. There are no restrictions or limitations in terms of medium, theme, or concept.

All of the auction proceeds will be dedicated to student travel scholarships. These scholarships will help make it possible for photography students from the entire Northwest region including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming to travel to national SPE conferences, including the 2015 New Orleans conference.

The Western Gallery has 4,380 square feet of exhibition space. The gallery presents diverse experiences in the visual arts, encompassing the University community and region while providing a point of reference to the national and international art scene. Through historical, contemporary and experimental art exhibitions, the outdoor collection of contemporary sculpture, publications and interpretative interdisciplinary programs, the Western Gallery maintains an important profile in the Northwest art scene and beyond.
