The National Press Photographers Foundation (NPPF) is pleased to provide the second $15,000 annual fellowship to honor the memory of Michel du Cille. The goal is to encourage photojournalists to work on significant stories reflecting Michel's high standards.
Applications for The Michel du Cille Fellowship will be accepted beginning June 1st – July 11, 2022.
The Michel du Cille, NPPF's premier fellowship for a U.S. photojournalist, honoring visual journalist and editor Michel du Cille who died covering the Ebola crisis in Liberia. Winner of three Pulitzer Prizes, Michel du Cille set the journalistic, ethical, and personal standards that gave his subjects voice and dignity. The fellowship is designed to create a significant body of work reflecting Michel du Cille's high standards of visual journalism – work that would otherwise likely not be done.

To enter you will need:
To create an account in the NPPF entry system using your email address. The account may also be used for future NPPF grants.
To provide a statement of purpose and a résumé.
To create a proposed timeline and plan for completing your project
To provide a portfolio of still pictures, picture stories, and/or videos
