A Magazine For Reproduction-based Arts
The Hand Magazine LLC / Deadline: 02/28/26
The Hand Magazine is an international exhibition in print showcasing hand-printed photographs and prints. It is our goal to showcase the inventive and evolving ways artists incoporate printed media into their work.
The Hand is administered, printed, and distributed internationally from our home base near Kansas City.
$15 for a single-issue subscription includes a copy of the magazine whether your work is selected for print or not (more outside the US to accommodate shipping)
Every artist is eligible.
Subscription is required. Single-issue, one-year, two-year, and recurring subscriptions are available. Prices include shipping and vary based on location.
We tend to focus on analog and hand-printed work, but digital work, mixed media, installations, and performance works that incorporate photographic or printed media are all eligible.
We are intersted in the myriad inventive and experimental applications of printed media in contemporary art. Any artwork that incorporates any variety of photographic or print media is eligible. We evaluate work based on craft, composition, technique, style, narrative, inventiveness, creativity, idiosyncrasy, experimentalism, and emotional impact.
