Taste Makers II

Art in Food / Food in Art

Treat Gallery   /   Deadline: 08/27/16

We’re passionate about art, food and the community. What are you passionate about?

Treat Gallery is ready to satisfy your appetite with an upcoming collaboration with Court Tree Collective in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

We’re kicking off autumn with Court Tree Collective’s second annual Taste Makers Food and Art exhibition. Playing off the theme of artistic beauty in food and food in art, Treat Gallery is looking for artists who create work influenced by culinary masterpieces.

Taste Makers II will feature art created by emerging and established artists who portray food visually or conceptually in their work. The inaugural Taste Makers exhibition in 2015 featured a variety of artists who portrayed images of food, along with messages, ideas, and awareness regarding our responsibility with food. During the exhibition, food will be provided courtesy of local restaurants and chefs.

The exhibition will run from September 9th to October 9th, 2016.

Court Tree Collective is a group of artists and chefs with a shared aim of bringing art and cultural events to their unique gallery/event space. Court Tree encourages creative individuals to host art events, cooking demonstrations, dinner/brunch parties at their venue. Treat Gallery is an online gallery that has quarterly pop-up exhibitions. We provide a platform for emerging artists to exhibit, and young collectors to acquire affordable fine art. With every pop-up exhibition, we donate 25% or more to a various cause or non-profit.
