SPE-SC Student Exhibition

SPE South Central invites students to submit work for a juried exhibition opportunity as part of our 2022 conference in Shreveport and Bossier City, LA.

Selected works will be exhibited in the Donna Service Gallery at Bossier Parish Community College Oct. 1-31, and there will be a reception during the conference. Works will be printed digitally at no cost to students and displayed using magnets.

The juror for this exhibition is Stefan Nodarse, curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Masur Museum of Art in Monroe, LA. Nodarse is a painter and printmaker who earned his BFA in art at the University of Louisiana Monroe. He went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts from Indiana State University in Terre Haute.

All current undergraduate and graduate students in the SPE South Central region (Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas) are eligible to submit to this exhibit. The deadline for artwork submission is Sept. 15. Artists can submit up to 3 artworks made using any photographic process. Submissions should be formatted as tiff files with a long edge of 4800 pixels and be ready to print. Bossier Parish Community College has donated paper and printing for the exhibition, so artists will not be responsible for any printing or shipping costs.
