The contest theme is "Southern Exposure." Twenty-four selected finalists will premiere at Cumberland Gallery in Nashville, TN, and will be entered into the final awards night event "InSight Photography Show & Auction" on September 12, 2015, where they will be auctioned. Proceeds of the auction will go to the Pastoral Counseling Centers of Tennessee (PCCT) to support families, individuals, and couples in Middle Tennessee who are in need of quality, affordable mental health care services. This contest is open to all levels of photographic artists who reside in one of the following US states: Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, or Virginia.
Only online entries will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this contest. The photograph need not be taken with a digital camera; scans of negatives, transparencies, or photographic prints are acceptable. This contest is open to all forms of fine art photography including photographic based works incorporating mixed media. Each entrant may submit no more than three (3) photographs. All digital files must be 5 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels on the longest side. Send submissions to pcctinc@gmail.com.
All selected works will be placed in the event's silent auction, and photographers will receive 20% of the final winning bids. Award prizes, to be announced the evening of the event, include $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $150 for third place winners.
