South Central Members Exhibit

Revitalize!

The Society for Photographic Education South Central chapter invites members to submit work for a juried exhibition in conjunction with our 2024 chapter conference, Revitalize!, at National Park College in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
The juror for the exhibition is Kevin Haynie, Curator of Collections & Exhibitions at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. Mr. Haynie was previously the head of installation at The Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas and the senior preparator at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Kevin was born in El Dorado, and studied art at both Henderson State University and the University of Arkansas, earning a BFA in Studio Art. His art background includes working extensively with both traditional media and non-traditional formats, including digital, auditory, animation, and interactive works.
All current members of SPE South Central are eligible to submit up to 3 artworks, made within the last two years and created using any lens-based process. Video work under 3 minutes, mixed media and three-dimensional works are also welcome.
Entry is $10 and may be paid through the SPE National website: https://www.spenational.org/shop.
Artists will be notified by October 1. The exhibition will be projected for a reception during the conference and published online as a catalogue.

Image submission details:
Upload up to three file(s) on the Google form as .jpg files, sized 1800 pixels on the longest side. Use the naming convention First initial_Last initial_Title.jpg. (Example: A_B_Photo.jpg) If submitting 3-D works, please feel free to include detail photos. For video, please limit each submission to no longer than 3 minutes. In addition to images of artwork, members must also submit a screenshot showing proof of payment on the SPE website. In the text field on the submission form, please provide the artist's name, artwork title, year, and dimensions for each piece.
