Snider Prize

Museum of Contemporary Photography   /   Deadline: 06/12/26

The Snider Prize is a purchase award given to emerging artists in their final year of graduate study. The winner receives $3,000, and two honorable mentions each receive $500 towards the purchase of work to be added to MoCP's permanent collection.

Established by the generosity of Lawrence K. and Maxine Snider, the Snider Prize forms a part of the museum's ongoing commitment to support new talent in the field of contemporary photography.

MoCP is currently accepting submissions for the 2026 Snider Prize. Applications will be accepted until June 12, 2026 at 11:59 pm CT.

Eligibility

Applicants must have recently completed their final semester of graduate study (Fall '25 or Spring '26).

Requirements

Submissions will need to be completed and submitted by the deadline of June 12, 2026 at 11:59pm (ct).

Awards

The winner receives $3,000, and two honorable mentions each receive $500 towards the purchase of work to be added to MoCP's permanent collection.

Evaluation Criteria

All application will be considered by our internal review committee.
