SHELTERS: Whether it's homemade, nature-made, diagrams, ideas and plans for a potential, photographs/paintings of your own, in the woods, in the city, underground, above ground, for humans, for beavers, about, concerning around, apparently about, blatantly about, or simply three sticks leaning against a down tree to create a shelter, lets see it. Submissions are only considered it they are somehow related to the topic. If it is questionably 'about' the topic, convince us.

The idea is simple and works a lot like a curated art exhibition.

The publication will focus on 'outdoor-based' (we use outdoor-based loosely) photography, design, paint, print, short story, poetry, non-fiction and all that can be condensed into the pages of a book. As a collective, we all have the opportunity to be apart of the publication; all you have to do is submit. Why wouldn't you want published work? You submit, we curate, and then publish the results into a small book that you can take with everywhere you go. Whether it's inspiration, interest, or simply a fun tangible product to own and have, we want to take the images and text off the screen and make it into a real, physical thing that you can touch and lick.

Requirements

For visual work: 1200 pixels on the longest side and 300 dpi. If we want to further inquire, we will contact you and ask for the works in its full format.

For text: Simply submit the piece in .pdf and .docx formats only. For poetry, submit the entire piece. For fiction, non-fiction, journal and essay, send the first 1,000 words (if it is less than 1,000 words, send the whole thing!) along with the word count of the entire piece, don't worry, we won't discriminate against a nice, full-fledged piece! If we want to further inquire, we will contact you and ask for the piece in it's the entirety.

We are accepting up to three (3) pieces per person!

Make sure to include all contact information (including, but not limited to): Name, E-mail, mailing address, phone number, and (if applicable) website. We need this information for, in the case of an accepted piece; we want to credit your name and current state of residency. Also, you will receive a copy in the mail of the printed material you are published in!
