San Francisco International Photography Exhibition

Gallery Photographica announces that registration is open for the 2014 San Francisco International Photography Exhibition. The annual exhibition, held in San Francisco, features outstanding work by photographers around the world. The theme is open to photography of all genres and styles.

Studio 17 Gallery, San Francisco, California

Fees

Registration is $25 (USD) for the first image, and $10 for each additional image. Payment can be made through the online registration system. Email us about payment by PayPal, check, or Western Union.

Eligibility

Professional and non-professional photographers from all countries, 18 years or older.

Requirements

Submitting images
Submitted image files must conform to the following guidelines:
- Images should be 1,280 pixels long on the longest side.
- Files must be a maximum of 2MB.
- Entries must be submitted as high quality JPG files.
- Images must use the sRGB or RGB color space.
- File names must not use special characters. Use letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores.
- Do not use any visible watermarks, copyright notices, or added identification on your images

Registrants may substitute or add images at any time until registration closes. Photographs which were award winners or portfolio selections in previous Gallery Photographica events may not be resubmitted. Gallery Photographica reserves the right to reject any works deemed inappropriate.

Gold and Silver Medal Awards

Exhibition
- All Gold Medal Finalist photographs will be included in the exhibition held at Studio 17, San Francisco, California in August, 2014.
- The Portfolio Selections will be featured on our web site with a story about the photographer and the work.
- Gold and Silver Medal Award winners will be displayed on the Gallery Photographica site.

Considerations

Printing and framing for the Exhibition are available at an affordable cost.

Deadline for entries (midnight PST) - May 8, 2014
Award winners notified - June 10, 2014
Deadlines for delivery for exhibition:
Receipt of files for printing and framing - June 15, 2014
Receipt of shipped artwork - July 25, 2014
Artwork hand delivered to gallery - August 3, 2014
Opening of exhibition and reception - August 9, 2014
Closing day of exhibition - August 24, 2014

Evaluation Criteria

The juror, Paula Tognarelli, is the Executive Director and Curator at the Griffin Museum of Photography.

Portfolio Selections
Gallery Photographica will select 3 artists to highlight in the Portfolio Selections feature of the web site. To be eligible for selection, at least 6 photographs must be submitted to the competition. All entries with at least 6 photographs will be considered for the Portfolio Selections.
