Portals: Windows, Mirrors and Doors

Portals can be an architectural feature (gate, window, doorway, mirror, tunnel) that frames or isolates or adds dimension to an image. In a fictional sense, a portal can become a magical doorway through time and space. Alone or in combination, they hold unlimited creative possibilities for photographers.
For "Portals: Windows, Mirrors, and Doors", we're looking for images that use these devices in intriguing ways. All capture methods and processes are welcome.

Location

PhotoPlace Gallery's mission is to support contemporary fine art photography as a means of creative expression and cultural insight. PhotoPlace Gallery sponsors exhibition opportunities through international juried exhibits in Middlebury, Vermont, through its published exhibition catalogs, and on its website.

Fees

$39 for up to 5 images, $6 each additional

Eligibility

Open to all photographers. To encourage international participation, we offer free matting and framing to all exhibitors for the duration of the exhibit.

Awards

We are very pleased that Elizabeth Avedon will be jurying and curating this exhibition. She will select approximately 40 images for exhibition in the gallery, and 40 for our Online Gallery.

All 80 selected images will be reproduced in the exhibition print catalog and remain permanently on our website, with links to photographer's URL. Gallery exhibition November 26 – December 26, 2020.
