Rosalux Gallery (Minneapolis, MN) announces a call for entries for it's 14th annual Open Door juried group exhibition. Open to all North American residents working in any 2D/ 3D media. Only works completed within the past two years are eligible.

JUROR: Nicole Soukup
Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and the Minnesota Artist Exhibition Project Coordinator.

Nicole joined Mia as a research assistant for the Departments of Contemporary Art and Photography/New Media in 2010. In 2017, she was named an Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art and the Minnesota Artist Exhibition Project Coordinator. During her time at Mia, Nicole has assisted with numerous exhibitions, including "More Real? Art in the Age of Truthiness." Building on her interests in intersectional feminism and social practice, she curated and co-organized the "Guerrilla Girls' Twin Cities Takeover" at multiple arts venues in 2016.

ABOUT ROSALUX GALLERY

Rosalux is a cooperative art gallery that was founded in Minneapolis in 2002. The gallery is home to twenty four artists whose work is well known both nationally and internationally, featured in various major collections, and who have individually received numerous prestigious awards and grant recognition. The gallery is located in the Van Buren Building in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Open Door is an exciting opportunity for non-member artists to showcase their work in the gallery. Typically, this exhibition is reviewed and receives extensive press coverage.

Entries must be submitted online no later than midnight Nov.1, 2018. Late applications will not be considered.

Required Application Materials: (all below written materials should be in Word or PDF format)

-Artist Statement, brief (no more than 1 page)
-Resume, (no more than 1 page)
-Three images of works completed within the past two years. Save images as JPEG files, 72dpi in size, longest dimension less than 2000 pixels.

If you have a video to submit, please include a link in the "description" area to a youtube or vimeo sample of less than 3 minutes (alternately juror will only view first 3 minutes).
