2023 Montgomery Photo Festival

The call is open for the 2023 Montgomery Photo Festival in Montgomery, Alabama (formerly SAC's/Stonehenge Gallery Photo Competition). This call will be open until Friday, March 31, midnight CDT. The exhibit is presented by the Society of Arts and Crafts (SAC's).

Submission is open to all photographers (professional and amateur), working in all forms of photography. Four categories are offered: color, black and white, alternative process, and manipulation (digital or film).

There is a $25 entry fee, good for submitting 3 photos. There is no theme for this exhibit. There is no time limit for when you produced your work. We are working to elevate photography as an art form.

—best in show, $1,000
—best in category, $500 (four awards, one in each category)

Richard McCabe, curator of photography for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans is this year's juror.

Considerations

RICHARD McCABE: BIOGRAPHY

Richard McCabe is a curator, photographer and writer based in New Orleans. He was born in England and grew up in the American South. In 1998, he received an MFA in Studio Art from Florida State University. He has taught Photography as an adjunct professor at: Pratt Institute, New York City, Montclair State University, Montclair, New Jersey, Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut and Xavier University, New Orleans, Louisiana.
