In the year of 2025 we will be featuring 25 photographers for the EMERGE competition. We are looking to give one $200 EMERGE Fellowship Award and exhibition opportunities to emerging photographers. This fellowship opportunity is geared toward photographers looking to launch their art careers through the exposure of exhibition.

MWCP is seeking emerging photographers creating fresh and exciting new pictures. We feel strongly about providing this exhibition opportunity to emerging photographers. Professionally preparing a series of work, entering to galleries within the stated guidelines of gallery submissions and through subsequently building an exhibition record is a major and essential aspect of building a career in art photography.

Selected artists will have their work featured in the exhibition and online.

Exhibition Dates: October 3 - 31, 2025

Opening Reception: Friday, October 3, 7 - 9 p.m.

Eligibility

Open to all emerging photographers worldwide. All photographic media is welcome.

To enter: Please visit https://www.mwcponline.com/emerge-entry.html and follow the online instructions. Please note that there is not an image upload form and simply email .jpeg images to the Midwest Center for Photography via email.

Awards

One recipient will be awarded the $200 EMERGE Fellowship Award, and receive one year artist representation by MWCP online.

Considerations

Selection will be based upon individual images submitted by each artist. A series of theme based images are preferred but not required. A brief artist statement is optional.
