American Illustration-American Photography (AI-AP), producers of the leading juried annuals in North America, announces its 4th annual competition to honor the best work being created today in or about Latin America. AI-AP, well-known for 34 years as a respected resource for art directors, designers, photo editors, art buyers and publishers, presents established, emerging and student Latino illustrators and photographers to the North American market - and vice versa - in a global, multi-cultural exchange of art and ideas.

Latin American Fotografa and Ilustracin 4 (LAF4-LAI4), will be judged by an international jury of top creatives who commission illustration and photography for use in magazines, advertising, books, posters, packaging, promotion, and video. Unpublished, fine art and student work is also eligible.

Fees

$10 per illustration or photogaph or- $50 per portfolio of up to ten images by an individual, class or department.

Eligibility

- Latin American citizens living anywhere. Includes citizens of Spain and Portugal and all Spanish/Portuguese speaking countries.
- Everyone living or studying in Latin America, regardless of nationality.
- Everyone with Latin American clients or projects, regardless of nationality.
- All images with Latin American subject matter by anyone, regardless of nationality.
- Work created or published between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014 for both print and digital media.
- Work created in 2014 for publication in 2015 is OK.
- All images in an ongoing project that stared earlier and continued into 2015, whether published or not, are OK.

Awards

BE SEEN BY OUR JURY
When you enter, your work is seen by an international jury made up exclusively of top creative professionals who assign and utilize photography and illustration, including art directors, designers, photo editors, art buyers, curators, editors and publishers.


TRAVEL EXHIBIT
Winning images will be exhibited in New York City sponsor by EPSON as part of the annual AI-AP Party in November 2015 and will be part of a traveling exhibit through 2016.

THE ARCHIVE
In addition to be part of the Latin American Fotografa and Ilustracin 4 CATALOG, winning images appear on THE ARCHIVE, at ai-ap.com, attracting over 200 unique visitors per day. THE ARCHIVE lets the user search the juried collection of images by volume, subject, photographer, illustrator, creative, publication, client, agency, representative, design firm, school and instructor - and then make direct contact with the photographer or illustrator.

FREE PUBLICATIONS
All Entrants receive free subscriptions to our daily email newsletters with articles and features edited and written by David Schonauer,Peggy Roalf and Robert Newman. You may unsubscribe from any individual newsletter at anytime and manage your subscriptions from your member account.

THE PARTY and BIG TALK
Entrants receive an invitation with a discount ticket of $25 to attend The Party and BIG TALK symposium, our annual, two-day launch events in November to celebrate the winners, the new AI-AP books, along with the American Photography, American Illustration and Motion Art shows.

eBOOK
The selected images will be included in an eBook for tablet devices available to purchase on iTunes for $9.99. The eBook includes artist contact info with links to their site, captions and creative credits and will include enhanced video and audio features on the winning artists.

SUPPORT
VISAS and GREEN CARDS: AI-AP is happy to provide letters of recommendation to winning international artists seeking visas and green cards for permanent residency in the U.S.

EXPOSURE
A slideshow announcement of the winning images will be sent to our 30,000 subscribers in September 2015.
