LACP's First Annual Project Exhibition

We are pleased to announce the Los Angeles Center of Photography's First Annual Project Exhibition! The exhibition will run from March 21 – May 12, 2020 with an opening night reception scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 7-10 pm, 2020. The juror, Douglas Marshall, will choose the most compelling and cohesive bodies of work to exhibit. The juror will choose 8-12 artists to exhibit in LACP's new East Culver City Gallery. Selected photographers will exhibit a minimum of six images and a maximum of ten. The top prize winner and two honorable mentions will be invited to speak during the exhibition's artist talk, date TBA.

Douglas Marshall will be present at the opening reception to say a few remarks and selected work will be shown in an online gallery on LACP's website and featured on social media.

Eligibility

LACP calls for entry are open to all photographers, worldwide. We invite photographers working in all photographic mediums, digital, film, mixed and unique processes to participate.

Requirements

The deadline to send digital files for consideration is Monday, February 3, 2020 by midnight PST. Artists must submit a minimum of six images, but there is no limit to the amount of images which can be submitted.

Preparing your images

Size each image 1200 pixels on the long side at 72 dpi. You can label your jpgs whatever you like, but do not include your name in the jpg names.

You will be asked the Title for each image after you upload it. Please do not include your name in the title.

Awards

1st Prize winner will receive $750 cash, a featured two-page spread in LACP's Summer/Fall 2020 catalog, and an invitation to speak during the exhibition's artist talk, date TBA.

Two Honorable Mentions will be recognized as well and invited to speak during the exhibition's artist talk, date TBA.

Evaluation Criteria

The juror, Douglas Marshall, will choose the most compelling and cohesive bodies of work to exhibit.
