Interpretive Landscape

The DARKROOM Longmont Gallery   /   Deadline: 04/15/15

Our theme this Spring is the INTERPRETIVE LANDSCAPE defined as the natural landscape, the urban landscape, the spiritual landscape or other creative landscapes interpreted by the artist. Entry is by digital file only. Accepted pieces will be exhibited at the DARKROOM Gallery.

Fees

$35 for 3 images

Eligibility

Nationwide.

Requirements

Digital entries only. Accepted entries should be delivered to the DARKROOM 'finished and ready to hang' defined as:

- Framed, using gallery conventions (plain black or brown frames, unless otherwise specified)...
- Printed on mounted canvas
- Printed on metal
- Printed on glass
- All entries should have hanging wire attached
- Accepted entry finished size:
- No smaller than 8" wide
- No larger than 40" wide

Awards

First Place: $300 PLUS Solo Show at the DARKROOM
Second Place: $200 cash
Third Place: $100 cash

All winning entries will be exhibited at the Gallery between June 3rd and July 25th, 2015.

Evaluation Criteria

Open interpretation of the theme: Interpretive Landscape. Final judging will be done by two people: Wesley Jessup, curator/manager, Longmont Museum, and Matthew Jonas, Award-winning photo-journalist, Times Call Newspaper, Longmont, CO.
