Long format exhibition (4-6 weeks)
Fabula Works for Millepiani Gallery / Deadline: 05/17/26
We are currently seeking two photographers to be featured in our September exhibition, which will run for five weeks, in the Millepiani Gallery in Rome. For this first open call, we have chosen not to impose a theme. We invite you to come as you are and allow us to enter your visual universe. Your submission may consist of one or two cohesive series, or a carefully curated selection that reflects your broader body of work. All genres are welcome.
We are interested in photographers who offer personal and compelling ways of seeing. We seek work that moves beyond familiar aesthetics and well-worn visual trends, without the need to conform to a specific tone, genre, or model. What matters most is a distinct perspective - thoughtful and organic - capable of subtly shifting how we engage with images and ideas we may think we already know.
Millepiani GalleryVia Nicolo Odero, 13, 00154 Roma RM, Italy
25 EUR
Any living person aged 18 or older on the day of application may apply, regardless of country of residence and nationality.
To apply, please submit a portfolio of 10 to 25 photographs in a PDF file, as well as a biography and an artist statement. A contribution of 25 EUR is required to support the administration of the open call.
Selected artists will have their printing and exhibition promotion fully covered. Artists are simply responsible for making their own arrangements should they decide to attend and enjoy the opening night.
The submission page on Fabula Works's website will be open to all starting from Sunday 15 March to Sunday 17 May.
Selection is based on curatorial coherence and artistic strength. Please note that we reserve the right to present a solo exhibition if a submission demonstrates particularly strong artistic merit and a unique, singular vision.
