University of West Georgia Juried Photography Exhibition

Infinite Weight/Present Histories: University of West Georgia 2022 National Juried Photography Exhibition is seeking contemporary photographic and lens-based works. The exhibition looks to explore ideas from the conceptual to the speculative, while recognizing photography's inherent referential capacity.
The Vault Gallery located in the Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson St, Newnan, GA 30263.
$30 is charged for up to 3 images with a fee of $5 for each additional image up to 6 images total.
Any photographic or lens-based medium, such as, but not limited to: historic processes, silver-gelatin, digital production, including all single channel video works are encouraged for entry. This exhibition is open to national artists of all levels (18 years and older).
Please submit all images in the following format:
-File size: 2400 pixels on the longest side in JPG format save at maximum quality -Lastname_FirstName_01.jpg (Smith_Jane_01.jpg,
Smith_Jane_02.jpg, etc...)
• For video please submit a link to youtube or vimeo as well as a screenshot of your piece in the format and naming convention listed above. The screenshot may be utilized in the exhibition catalog.
A $500.00 Best In Show, one University of West Georgia Art Purchase Award, and two $100 merit awards.
The exhibition will be juried by Hallie Ringle, the Hugh Kaul Curator of Contemporary Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art where she's curated Celestia Morgan: REDLINE and Wall to Wall: Merritt Johnson (co-curated). She was formerly Assistant Curator at The Studio Museum in Harlem where she curated Maren Hassinger: Monuments, Firelei Baez: Joy Out of Fire, Fictions (co-curated), Rico Gatson: Icons 2007–2017, Video Studio: Meeting Points, Palatable: Food and Contemporary Art, and Salon Style. She is a fall 2018 Andy Warhol Curatorial Fellow. She has a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA from the University of Texas at Austin.
