Image et Neige International Photo Festival   /   Deadline: 09/30/25

Download in PDF Format

Image & Neige is the only photography festival in Europe entirely dedicated to snow and ice. Founded in 2009 by Frédéric Boiteux, it is held annually since then.

Each edition features up to 200 selected photographs, exhibited indoors in gallery quality and in XXL outdoor formats, surrounded by real snow and cold.

The festival also includes talks, screenings, workshops, and artist events, with a strong focus on ecological awareness, artistic mediation, and public visibility.

In 2026, the festival celebrates its 16th edition and launches its first-ever international open call through the PICTER photography contest.

Evaluation Criteria

Submissions are judged on four core dimensions:

Artistic & Visual Impact: The work should be striking, emotionally resonant, and compositionally strong.

Relevance to Theme: Images must reflect snow, ice, or cold, with a particular emphasis on winter sports and urban environments, as highlighted this year.

Technical Quality: Sharpness, exposure, color rendering, and overall professional finish are evaluated.

Originality & Narrative Strength: The jury seeks images that tell a compelling story or offer a fresh visual perspective.
