The new Flatland Feature is here at MWCP. An online platform that showcases the best of the best photographers from the midwest region and beyond.

In this region that lacks appreciable topographic relief comes the Flatland Feature providing a widespread opportunity to photographers who are creating work about this region or the multitude of other places, ideas and concepts.

The Flatland Feature is an online feature that will showcase photographers work in a series format as a virtual gallery experience.

The photographic work will be available at the Midwest Center for Photography website for patrons of the gallery to go online and have the opportunity to purchase photographs. The featured photographers and will have an accompanying artist statement that references the photographic work and a brief biography for viewers to learn about the artists.

Flatland Feature is open to all subject matter and genre.

Each photographic feature consists of 10 - 20 images. Selected artists have their work featured for a period of six months online.

Issue 2 Feature Dates: August, 2026 - January, 2027

Fees

$100 to submit 10 images

Eligibility

Open to all photographers internationally. Open to all photographic subject matter, genre and media.

Requirements

Submit .jpeg files to the gallery for consideration via the upload form found at https://www.mwcponline.com/flatland-feature-submission.html. Name each file with your last name_first name_number. Follow the entry instructions found on the website.

Considerations

Selection will be based upon the thematic series of photographic work submitted by each artist rather than solely on individual images. A brief artist statement and bio are required.
