Eddie Adams Workshop Application

The Eddie Adams Workshop accepts 100 students each year. Half are college students and half are professionals with less than 6 years of professional experience. All U.S. military photographers are eligible to apply as professionals.

Eligibility

College students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and have an active school email address when their application is submitted. Applicants who graduated in December 2022 and are between graduate programs are eligible to apply as college students. If you are currently not enrolled but have been accepted to an accredited college or university and will be enrolled in Fall 2023, you are eligible to apply as a college student.

Requirements

Candidates are required to submit the following:
· online application
· personal statement
· portfolio of 12-20 images (no more)
· application fee

Awards

1/4 of students receive grants, gear, & paid assignments with major publications.

Considerations

1:1 student-to-staff ratio
Portfolio reviews with photo editors
Presentations from iconic photographers

Evaluation Criteria

All completed and eligible applicants will first have their portfolios reviewed by our admissions committee. In the second and final round, another committee of industry professionals will vote on the final 100 portfolios accepted into the Eddie Adams Workshop. Applicants who do not get accepted may apply again for future Workshops.
