Call for works exploring race and identity

The Ohio State University Mansfield's Pearl Conard Art Gallery   /   Deadline: 08/28/20

The Pearl Conard Art Gallery at The Ohio State University at Mansfield is seeking works by artists who explore issues surrounding race, identity, and contemporary culture in the United States. A virtual exhibition of works will be published to the gallery's website and social media pages in conjunction with our theatre program's virtual production of Idris Goodwin's #matter in September 2020. Selected artists may be asked to participate in a moderated discussion about their work and/or contribute additional materials for online engagement.

Eligibility

Artists currently or recently living in the US

Requirements

Artists are invited to apply with works created within the past 5 years. Please email digital files and/or links to 10-20 images of work(s) to be considered, an artist statement that addresses the work(s) submitted, a one-paragraph biography, and your contact information to pearlconardgallery@gmail.com. Please include your name in the subject line. There is no fee and any media that can be documented and presented in a digital format will be considered, including the written word.
