The BBA Photography Prize 2020 is an international submission call for fine art photographers as part of the European Month of Photography 2020 (EMOP)

The Jury:
Submitted entries will be judged by high ranking professionals like the award-winning photographer Nikita Teryoshin, co-founder of EyeEm and Berlin Photo Week, Gen Sadakane and former Director of Eyes On – Photo Week Vienna and EMOP Jury member, Thomas Licek.

The Longlist:
The most stunning entry works to date will be promoted during the month of August. A longlist of our most special artists will then be announced at the end of August, as well as promoted via our social media channels.

Shortlisted Photo Artists:
Four shortlisted photo artists will be selected to exhibit at BBA Gallery as part of European Month of Photography (EMOP) in October 2020. Each shortlisted artist will receive promotion through the gallery's website, PR and social media channels, and a software package by sponsor Skylum.

Winner:
In addition to the shortlist, one selected winner will receive an artist profile on the BBA Gallery page on Artsy, and a prestigious solo show at the BBA Gallery in Berlin. The winner will also be promoted by BBA Gallery for one year.

During the EMOP exhibition in October, a People's Choice Award would also be run where the public can vote for their favourite artist. The BBA Photography Prize winner will be announced at the opening event for EMOP, and the People's Choice Award winner will be revealed during the finissage.

Application deadlines:
Early Bird: 28.06.2020
Final: 26.08.2020

The BBA Photography Prize 2020 is an annual initiative by BBA Gallery in Berlin to invite the best talent and fine art photography work from around the world. Launched in 2017, BBA Gallery exists to find and represent artists with unique talent and ideas, a strong vision and a compelling style. Age or education are not the most important criteria for us, instead, we value authenticity, perseverance, professionalism and outstanding artworks.

We began as an artist-run project space in 2015, and our ethos has been clear since then – to seek out talented & passionate artists and give them all the nurture they need.
