Deadline Extended to January 16, 2016

The 4th International SPE Combined Caucus Juried Exhibition is organized in conjunction with the 2016 SPE National Conference, ‘Constructed Realities’. In keeping with this year’s theme and the spirit of the hosting city, we are excited to announce that this year’s exhibition will be held as a slideshow projection at the Red Rock Resort’s Cherry Nightclub! This non-traditional exhibition will be on view March 12, 2016, with an opening reception from 8-10 pm. A catalogue will accompany the exhibition. All accepted work will travel to Living Arts in Tulsa, OK for a one-month exhibition in September 2016.

Aline Smithson is this year’s juror. She will select artworks reflecting the diversity of the three caucuses. There is no theme. For further information on the caucus missions, please visit: spenational.org/about/caucuses

Location

1. Cherry Nightclub, Red Rock Resort, Las Vegas. 2. Living Arts, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Living Arts, founded 1969, is the longest continuously run non-profit contemporary arts organization in Oklahoma. They are interested in newly evolving ideas, the creation of art forms, exploring the relationship of art to other disciplines and fields of knowledge, and in sharing their interests with the community by encouraging the public to attend and participate in creative workshops, performances, exhibitions, films, demonstrations of current art, lectures, related educational activities and research. Living Arts does not discriminate in any way and takes an active stance on anti-racism and LGBT-friendship by providing programs, which build ‘cultural bridges’ between differing communities in Tulsa. www.livingarts.org

Fees

$25 for up to 5 images. Payment will be made to Society for Photographic Education on the SPE website. (non-refundable)
