2017 SPE Media Festival

The Society for Photographic Education (SPE) has featured a film and video festival of innovative and provocative short documentaries, animation and fiction as part of the Annual Conference since 1995. The festival began as the SPE Women's Film and Video Festival and evolved into a festival featuring work curated by the organization’s three caucuses, the Women’s Caucus, Multicultural Caucus and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer Caucus. The Society for Photographic Education is the primary academic organization for photographic media professionals and the Annual Conference draws 1200-1500 participants annually.

Location

The 2017 SPE Media Festival will be screened at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, March 9 - Saturday, March 11, 2017, during the 54th SPE National Conference. Filmmakers will also have the option to have their films included in a password-protected On-line Video Festival available to SPE members from June 2017
