Heather M. O'Brien - Takahashi is an artist, filmmaker, writer, and Assistant Professor of Cinema & Interdisciplinary Media at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She received an MFA from CalArts and a Director's Fellowship from the Creative Practices Program at the International Center of Photography. Research interests include expanded cinema, alternative photographic histories, and the experimental essay film.
