The School of Art + Design invites applicants for a non-tenure full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Photography, to begin in Fall 2023. This is a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor position in the photography area to begin Fall 2023. We are seeking applications from candidates who possess an understanding of the technical, historical, critical, and theoretical aspects of photography — analogue and digital — combined with awareness of the ways in which the discipline is evolving. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching digital and analog photography to undergraduate students in a Non-Majors lecture as well as Fundamental and Intermediate studios, as well as participate in MFA critiques.


Responsibilities beyond teaching include, but are not limited to: participating in group and individual critiques, assisting in maintaining the studio environment, providing service as needed by the area and school, and maintaining and pursuing professional and academic expertise. Studio space may be provided when available.
