The Colorado Photographic Arts Center is seeking entries for a photography exhibition juried by Mark Sink, director of the Denver Month of Photography.

The exhibition will be a survey of new work made within the past twelve months, and is intended to highlight the creative talents of CPAC's public members. There is no theme. The show is open to current/new members of the organization only.

Colorado Photographic Arts Center is located in Denver's Lo-Hi neighborhood (1513 Boulder Street, Denver, CO 80211)

Fees

First three images free. $5 each additional image

Eligibility

Works submitted must have been made within twelve months of the exhibition deadline. All lens-based media are eligible, including but not limited to images made by film or video camera, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and any means of mobile photography. Entry is open to currently active regional, national, and international members of CPAC. New members joining prior to the deadline are welcome

Awards

A $300 purchase award will be given for Best of Show, chosen by the juror on site at CPAC. The selected image will become part of CPAC's permanent photography collection. Three honorable mention awards will be made.

Evaluation Criteria

Mark Sink is founder and director of the Month of Photography (MoP) in Denver, CO, where he coordinates over 180 regional galleries, museums and art spaces biannually to celebrate photography. The next MoP is scheduled for March 2015. In addition to curating extensively for MoP projects, Mark serves on the Exhibition Selection Committee for Redline, a downtown city block of new gallery and multimedia studio work and exhibition spaces.

Mark is also an internationally recognized photographer in his own right. In 1991, Mr. Sink co-founded the Museum of Contemporary Art / Denver and opened his own gallery space, Gallery Sink. He is a regular portfolio reviewer for the Houston FotoFest Meeting Place, SPE, and Photolucida. He is always looking for unique talent for his many ongoing curatorial exhibitions, projects and collection placements, and regularly places the artists he reviews with various gallery and museum exhibitions. This is an outstanding opportunity to have your work seen as preparations for the 2015 MoP get seriously underway.
