No-Type Magazine / Deadline: 02/28/26
Portraiture is always shaped by distance, whether it's the physical space between camera and subject, the emotional space between individuals, or the cultural space between communities. No-Type Magazine invites lens-based artists to submit work that examines how intimacy, vulnerability, and proximity influence the ways we see and represent one another. We are particularly interested in work that interrogates the relationship between photographer and sitter, acknowledging the often complicated act of looking and being looked at. Issue No. 02 considers these questions through both traditional portraiture and work that challenges, expands, or reimagines what a portrait can be.
$15
Submissions are open to lens-based artists who are at least 18 years of age. Both emerging
and established photographers from any country are eligible to apply.
