Sequencing Philosophy

SPE summer workshop artist and educator Eric Zeigler shares some thoughts on his photographic philosophy:
"Photographs from the world are exciting to me because images are so different than real experience. Making a picture and viewing that abstraction decontextualized from its original setting is a powerful moment. You can then use context to bend the reality of that image a little. When I construct diptychs and sequences, I use that malleability to create something that can feel more real and specific than the world I started with."
Eric will teach a Diptych and Sequencing workshop at SPE's national office on August 8. Those interested in participation may register through the Eventbrite page or click here for more details.
