Call for Submissions- Photogenesis's Lux 2019
Southern Illinois University's photo club, known as Photogenesis, is hosting the 8th annual fine art photo competition, Lux 2019. Previous years, eligibility was limited to the Midwest region, but this year college photographers from any institution nationwide are eligible to compete.
The 2019 theme is "Navigating the Unknown". The juror is SPE's very own Garin Horner of Adrian College.
The submission deadline is Nov 4th 11:59 pm. The cost is $15 for 5 images. Prize money in the amounts of $300, $200, and $100 goes towards the top 3 three images.
Between 30-35 images will be selected for publication. This is not a call for a traditional exhibition, so there are no worries about the additional costs of framing and shipping artwork. Student photographers with accepted work in LUx 2019 will receive two copies of the publication. This publication is made possible through fundraising efforts by SIU alumni, faculty, and students.
