Meet the presenters of SPE’s 2027 Annual Conference!
We’re excited to introduce Lisa Di Giacomo, presenting “Louise”
“This session presents a pedagogical framework for teaching performative self-portraiture as a strategy for exploring identity, memory, and intergenerational narrative in contemporary photography. Grounded in both studio practice and critical inquiry, the approach encourages students to move beyond traditional self-representation toward embodied image-making that engages personal history, constructed narrative, and symbolic space.”
