Bruce Myren's Work featured in Cambridge Historical Society Exhibition
Photographs from Bruce Myren's new project The Washington Elm will be shown, along with artifacts made from the Elm and related images and ephemera, at the Cambridge Historical Society from October 28 through January 2015. This project is supported by a 2014 Cambridge Arts Council grant and is the beginning of a larger body of work, The Fate of the Elms. For the current portion, Myren is photographing the Washington Elm on the Cambridge Common; later parts of the series will include other Washington Elm scions, or clones, from around the country and related elm history.
An Artist Talk and Preview will be held on Tuesday, October 28, with a public reception on Thursday, November 13. Limited space available. Tickets available at www.cambridgehistory.org.
