Alternatives 2013: Borders and Boundaries
The Ohio University Photography and Integrated Media program is pleased to present the 2013 installment of Alternatives: Borders and Boundaries. Alternatives is a biennial juried exhibition organized by Ohio University's MFA Photography and Integrated Media program. Since its inception in 1980, Alternatives has achieved national recognition for its leadership in forging new definitions in the medium by emphasizing the work of photographers in the conceptual forefront of the practice. Borders and Boundaries presents photographic works that examine literal and figurative delineations of space and landscape and our intervention and response to observing and moving through those spaces. The exhibition represents a range of practices, including prints, video, and installation works, which broadly address concerns about space, territory, and landscape.
This year's exhibition is curated by Jason Reed, Assistant Professor of Photography at Texas State University and features members of SPE and runs through February 2013.
