Forms collide in Anderson Wrangle's photographs. Literally. Different modes of photography and art come together in his work, as heavy things balance and float, and try not to come back to earth. The artist works and plays to create unexpected configurations of limbs, beams, rocks, ropes, body and boards. The images range from the whimsical, and humorous to quiet and introspective. a hand's width will be shown at the Furman University Thompson Gallery, in the Roe Art Building, January 10-February 8, 2013. The Opening Reception and Gallery Talk will be from 6-8pm January 10, 2013.
Anderson Wrangle has received support for a hand's width through a Clemson University Center for Visual Arts Faculty Research Grant, and from SKYDIVE Artspace, in Houston, Texas, where the first version of the project was exhibited for the FotoFest 2012 Biennial.
