Tulu Bayar's Solo Exhibition in Brooklyn
Tulu Bayar's Solo Exhibition entitled "Invisible" is on view until September 25, 2011 at Amos Eno Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. "Invisible" consists of mixed-media work incorporating black and white film, marbling, calligraphy and video.
With this new body of work Bayar intends to start a conversation on the notions of exoticism, Orientalism, otherness and the western perceptions of a homogenous Islamic cultural identity.
