Revolutionizing Cultural Identity Opening Reception: June 2

SPE member Claude Baillargeon invites you to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21's presentation of Revolutionizing Cultural Identity: Photography and the Changing Face of Immigration, organized by and first presented at the Oakland University Art Gallery in 2008.

Pier 21, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a National Historic Site that was designated as Canada's sixth national museum in February 2011. Recast in its entirety in a bilingual presentation, Revolutionizing Cultural Identity will be on view from June 1 through October 31 in the very building that served as the gateway to Canada for one million immigrants between 1928 and 1971.
