Marita Holdaway closes the doors to the Benham Gallery in Seattle and will go virtual on the Internet as Benham Fine Art. Gallery 1216 is being proposed as a concept designed to maintain the Benham space for exhibiting photography of the highest standards and as an incubator for emerging artists in photography based arts. Gallery 1216 plans benefits to its members to include a program for developing new talent, exhibitions of the highest quality works by both existing and new artists, and to provide a place for students, artists, professionals and patrons to learn, to network, to share and to grow in the artistry and appreciation of fine photography.
