As we approach the end of 2020, a year of unprecedented proportions, it is crucial that we do not forget what this year has shown us. It is our job as human beings to keep up the fight for equality and a truly free, liberated society. In this panel discussion, Andre Ramos-Woodard will highlight the work of Danielle and Kevin McCoy, an artist duo who go by the name "work/play". work/play implements a variety of mediums in their work, critiquing various aspects of society while simultaneously using their work to call for Black liberation. We will also discuss how this year has impacted our lives as Black artists and our lives as Black people, specifically with the upheaval of protest, a call for police reform, and a broader recognition of systemic racism and anti-Blackness in the United States.
