Jennifer Karady works with real people to dramatize their stories through narrative, metaphorical, and allegorical techniques. Based in Brooklyn, Karady has exhibited widely across the United States. Her critically acclaimed, recent project, Soldiers' Stories from Iraq and Afghanistan has been featured in The New York Times, on National Public Radio and reviewed in Frieze. Public collections include the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and The Albright Knox Gallery and her work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, GQ, New York Magazine, Newsweek, Discover and in books such as Art and Agenda, 100 New York Photographers, and Out of Rubble.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
