Carl Gunhouse holds a BFA in Photography from Yale University. He has taught photography at Cooper Union, Montclair State University, and Nassau Community College. He has gained renown for his writing on photography for Searching For the Light, LayFlat, and American Suburban X. Over the last four years, he has curated over a half dozen shows in Brooklyn, NY. As a photographer, he has been shown nationally and internationally and is currently finishing his second book in which he explores what it is to be an American. Carl is affiliated with Montclair State University and is open to looking at all kinds of work.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
