This article offers a scholarly investigation into the evolving representation of photographers in literature, focusing on their transformation in response to technological advancements and shifting societal paradigms. Through an interdisciplinary analysis of texts across genres and historical periods, the study examines how literary depictions of photographers reflect broader cultural and professional shifts, emphasizing themes of adaptability, artistic integrity, and innovation. Particular attention is given to the photographer's evolution from a trickster figure in earlier narratives to a more ominous, even monstrous, character in 20th-century literature, reflecting deeper anxieties surrounding the nature of photography and its societal impact.
