The camera as a discreet, portable instrument was born in the 17th century. All cameras prior were carved out of lived space, fixed in orientation and large enough to accommodate the viewer. In this talk, I survey the long history of photography to address alternate ways of knowing and being through the projected image.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
