From the late 1940s to the early 1970s, Japanese photography established a unique lineage and discourse, with photobooks and magazines at its core. This presentation will delve into this history, highlighting iconic bodies of work born from this fertile period. Educators will come away with essential resources and materials to help bring this pivotal chapter of photography into their classrooms, enriching their students' understanding of Japan's contributions to the medium.
