Against the backdrop of rapidly evolving academic structures and student needs, this presentation draws upon Boyce & McBride's own biases, lived experiences, and the photographic canon. It examines the educator's responsibility—and the opportunities therein—to foster a more dynamic and equitable classroom. It also explores how to guide students to avoid perpetuating exclusionary practices and contribute to a more inclusive and just photographic industry, with practical strategies and real-world examples.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
