This panel discussion will focus on the ways in which parents, especially mothers, photograph and collaborate with their children. We will discuss issues of privacy and representation while we explore our own desire to focus on our personal lives within our work. We will address ways in which we seek to reconcile the loss of personal identity that comes along with motherhood and the transformations that occur within ourselves and our work. For some, it is merely a form of archiving our lives and our children's lives. For others, this sort of collaboration is an act of bonding and reconciliation.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
